You immediately felt like a friend I’d known for decades when we finally got to meet last April at CHSH. Me: "It depends. I usually put a lot of thought into what my entry-point will be, and I put a lot of effort into making sure it starts off just right. But once I get in, I've noticed I tend to lose interest pretty quickly and then I just crank the rest of it out."

Lunchtime musings
I’m sitting in a European cafe called Cafe European as Johann Pachelbel’s Kanon und Gigue für 3 Violinen mit Generalbaß plays over the house stereo system. Last time I heard this was in a nearby garden on the evening of Nov. 9, 2002, as my bride walked down the aisle. This time, I’m eating a huge plate of Shepherd’s Pie.
I’d get the Shepherd’s Pie again.
