Dear Hurtling
Happy Birthday from Two Tumblr Ladies
Get ova here on mah tumblr.
I am speechless. I am literally without speech.
You ladies are rare talents. This … is … I don’t even know what, but it made me smile and laugh out loud more than anything has all week. I am not exaggerating when I say I have at least one tear in my eye right now from laughing...
Happy Birthday Rommie!
davislove:
You should have told me your birthday was coming up. I would have bought you a beer and maybe even stood on the table to sing happy birthday to you when we were in SF. Well probably not the singing part. Maybe if I had a couple more drinks.
I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. Never mind. If you stick to that plan, you won’t have much fun at...
Happy birthday, Rommie!

I only got to talk to you for mere moments at SFTU, but you seem a genuinely nice fellow and I’m glad you cobbled your glasses together.
Also, tumblr should thank their lucky stars for January, as I believe 87% of all cool people were born in this month. Congrats to you for squeaking in.
Thanks, Kathleen! It was so great to meet you, too. January has been incredible with all the...

THANK YOU, INTERNET!!! NO RLY.
I’m overwhelmed by the number of Tumblr posts, tweets, DMs, texts, e-mails, Facebook wall posts, private messages and Pony Express deliveries* I received today wishing me a happy birthday.
The dreaded barrage of reblogs will commence later tonight. First I have to attend the birthday party of a good friend’s five-year-old daughter, who’s totally stealing my thunder.

Your Vonnegut suggestions: A question
I’m surprised at the number of you who recommended that guillee begin familiarizing himself with the works of Kurt Vonnegut by reading “Breakfast of Champions.” For me, a huge part of the appeal of that book was how it brought together seemingly disparate or unrelated characters and worlds from previous Vonnegut novels and wove them into a surreal, metafictional whole....

Secret Tumblr Message
Thank you so much.
This whole group is the best, so I guess that makes you the best of the best.

Tweetups are like sex.
The first time is awkward and overwhelming, but as soon as it’s over you can’t wait to do it again.

You know how there are people in this weird...
They do.
Over the past few days, I had no fewer than four people like that greet me by name even before we were all wearing ID badges. Some of them even knew where I’m from, knew who I’m close friends with and could recall tidbits of information about my life.
I must have met 60 or 70 new friends and they were all — without exception —fantastic people.
My only regret? I didn’t get to...
